On December 13, in an unknown year, Michelle Leslie was born in the town of Lloydminster, Alberta, Canada. The neat thing about Lloydminster is, that it was born, and still resides, in both Alberta and Saskatchewan. How cool is that?

Before gracing CFTO Toronto with her truly natural talent, intelligence, and beauty, Michelle spent a few months working at CHCH - Hamilton, where she did field reporting and weather broadcasts. Before her short stint at CH, she worked at The Weather Network for about four years, where she brought many great weather forecasts to air! With Michelle's endless energy, it's no surprise she holds the record at The Weather Network, for the longest shift in TWN's long and great history! She actually remained on air for an unbelievable three shifts in a row!

Michelle graduated from the Victoria College at the University Of Toronto with a Bachelor Of Arts Degree. Ryerson University also had the pleasure of teaching this wonderful Weather Broadcaster. At Ryerson, she studied Media Arts. Before working at The Weather Network, Michelle also worked as a reporter for Rogers Television, and appeared as a guest pannelist on TSN's "Off The Record". She has also done freelance writing for FashionWatch.com and the Metro Newspaper. Michelle produced the Community Events Calendar for CKLN and has worked in front of and in behind the scenes for various theatrical, film and music video productions. In the winter 2006, she was the covergirl for Allergic Living Magazine.

Michelle is currently completing a cool meteorology degree with the Mississippi State University! Another really cool thing about Michelle, is that she is accredited by not only the Canadian Meteorological And Oceanic Society, but also the American Meteorology Society!

It's hard to keep straight which job's Michelle has held, simultaneously, because she is so ambitious.

Michelle has covered everything from the 2006 Stanley Cup Final, in Edmonton, to Hurricane Katrina in 2005, and the tsunami in Indonesia! She has also done some fine work as a reporter for Leafs TV, and XM Satellite Radio where she produced and anchored many great shows!

Michelle also is a pop culture junkie, and enjoys travelling across Canada or searching the streets of Toronto for the latest trends in music and fashion. She also is an avid sports fan and, back in high school, was the first and only girl to ever make it through spring training camp for the guys football team. Her favorite movie of all time is "The English Patient". In fact, she owns a copy of the screenplay, novel and even the soundtrack. Of course, she is also interested in the weather. This interest started when she was able to witness, first hand, the impact that the weather can have on a small town's economy, presumably, Lloydminster, Alberta. Her great knowledge of the prairies is a definite asset when she's busy reporting the weather from coast to coast.

When Michelle isn't on the air, she can be found volunteering for many charitable organizations! She has contributed her time to everything from animal rescue, to working with troubled youth. She also works with many cancer support and research groups!

This is one amazing Canadian Prairie Girl!
